Easter Snack – Empty Tomb Rolls or “Resurrection Rolls”
Here’s a great idea to do with the kids to help them understand the reason for Easter. I do this with my preschoolers every year and Bug and I did this this week too.
Here’s what you need:
Canned biscuits
Large Marshmallows
Spray margarine (or just melt some margarine and brush it on with a pastry brush)
Cinnamon
Sugar
Place the rolls pinched side down (very important!) on a cookie sheet (I spread wax paper or aluminum foil over my cookie sheet to make clean up a breeze!) Spray with margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Let cool.
When you bite into the roll the marshmallow is gone and the “tomb” is empty. Just like Jesus is no longer in the tomb. Hallelujah!
We read this book – The Easter Story
Hi. I bought everything last week to make these and then got too stressed out and had to nix them. So bummed!!!
It doesn’t have to be Easter to make them! It’s a great object lesson anytime! I say make them this weekend. The Easter message doesn’t stop when Easter Sunday is over. :)
