Frugal Kid’s Craft: Easter Egg Shell Art

This year, when you’re cracking open those Easter eggs, save the shells!  I have a fun idea for them!

You will need:

  • dyed eggshells
  • glue (squeezable liquid glue)
  • construction paper or cardstock
  • “sifting” items (optional) like funnels, slotted spoons, etc.

Save your eggshells in a resealable bag, seal and crush.

Drawn your designs on paper using glue.

Sprinkle the eggshells onto the glue or for more fun, try out different sifting items.  Bug like scooping the eggshells and pouring them through the funnel.

At the time we first did this, I couldn’t think of anything else to draw but an egg.  Later we did a pirate ship.  Next time, I’m going to try it on colored paper to see if it shows up better.
