Saturday’s Saving Tip: Make your own frozen waffles/pancakes!

Okay, so mornings are busy and getting up earlier than everyone else to make a home cooked breakfast is just not me.  Now, I can whip out a spread on a Saturday morning.  But a weekday morning?  Nuh-uh.

So, I usually have a box of toaster waffles or pancakes in the freezer for the mornings when a banana or cereal is just not acceptable for Bug.  But why pay $2-$3 for a box of frozen ones at the store when you can make your own at home for a fraction of the cost?

Here’s what you do:
Make your waffles or pancakes the way you normally do.  (I happen to love my recipe)

Lay them out on plates or paper towels and let them cool completely.

Place in freezer bag (you can put foil or wax paper between them to keep them from sticking, but so far, I haven’t had any trouble with sticking.  I use mine up within a week though.)

When you are ready to eat them, pop them in the toaster.

Ta-da!

Enjoy!
