Our 2019 Georgia Renaissance Festival Trip and YOUR Absolute LAST CHANCE to GO this weekend!

The Georgia Renaissance Festival is a 16th century England Renaissance Festival that is only open for EIGHT short weekends in the spring.

Every weekend and Memorial Day, April 13 thru June 2, 2019 – yes that’s right – it ENDS THIS WEEKEND!!

The 34th Annual Georgia Renaissance Festival is a family-friendly event, and a different kind of theme park. Inside this 32-acre recreation of a 16th Century English Village you’ll find hundreds of costumed characters, the Queen and her Court, endless circus-style entertainment on 10 stages, shopping in over 130 artisan shoppes, food fit for Royalty, games and rides for kids of all ages, and the spectacular Jousting Knights on horseback. Patrons are invited to wear costumes and join in the fun too. It’s a whole lotta’ fun, and a little bit of History, every weekend and Memorial Day, April 13 thru June 2, 2019.

Here’s a peak at our 2019 trip:

This year we really got into it by dressing up!  G was Robin Hood and I was a peasant.  (Given the options, peasants actually had the more comfortable clothes! HA!)

We rubbed elbows with the King and Queen of England.

We watched some CRAZY shows!   You MUST catch at least ONE of Barely Balanced’s shows!  (We actually watched TWO!)

We met some interesting characters.

We ate the foods…. so much foods.  Last year I told you about the fried green tomato BLT.  I might have gone back this year JUST for another one of those.  It did NOT disappoint!

We saw a joust.  You MUST see a joust.  There are three jousts every day so you can catch at least ONE.  (They do follow a storyline so if you see all three you’ll see the story from beginning to end…)

We are super sad that we have to wait until NEXT YEAR to go back!
