Need plans for the weekend?  Here are the free events for this weekend.  Don’t forget, it’s Father’s Day weekend and some of the free events are

Also, be sure to check out your local library for fun things to do.  There is great programming at our local libraries – and it’s almost always free.  Don’t forget, kids can read books for prizes with Barnes & Noble and Lifeway

American Girl Stores

Most American Girl Store events cost.  But there are a few that are free.  Events vary by store. You can check out upcoming events at a store near you here.

Barnes and Noble:

Saturday, June 16th @ 11:00am
Storytime:   Father’s Day

Join us for a special Father’s Day Storytime with a book celebrating all that is great about dads. Activities to follow. 

Don’t forget to pick up your reading log at Barnes & Noble so you can read for a FREE book! 

Bass Pro Shops

Gone Fishing event
Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th from Noon-4pm
Fun for the whole family.   Catch and release pond, free photo op and more.  See all the details here.

Disney Store:

Saturday, June 16th @ 3:00pm
Team up with your Incredible family together and compete against others as you play in fun games and activities inspired by Disney/Pixar’s Incredible 2. All participants will receive a free superhero mask to look the part as you adventure with the Parr family. Events take place every Saturday in June at 3pm.

Kids will receive a FREE Hot Wheels card to customize, race against others and take home.

Toys ‘R Us:

Upcoming event page on Toys ‘R Us has been taken down due to the impending closure of Toys ‘R Us stores. :( 

Clearance sales are still going on at Babies ‘R Us/Toys ‘R Us stores.


It looks like Williams-Sonoma has stopped having FREE cooking classes for kids.  And at $30 per kid per class, I’m afraid they’ve priced us out!
