Need plans for the weekend?  Here are the free events for this weekend.  Saturday also happens to be FREE Comic Book Day AND Cinco de Mayo! 

Also, be sure to check out your local library for fun things to do.  There is some great programming at our local libraries – and it’s almost always free.

Summer is just around the corner – don’t forget to sign up for Kids Bowl Free and check out the $1 Summer Movie Express at Regal Cinemas! 

American Girl Stores

Most American Girl Store events cost.  But there are a few that are free.  Events vary by store. You can check out upcoming events at a store near you here.


Babies ‘R Us:

Storytime: Llama, Llama Loves to Read
Llama Llama is becoming a reader and can’t wait to show his mother everything he’s learned. Join us for Storytime and activities featuring this beloved character.

Disney Store:

Home Depot:  

Saturday, May 5th, 9:00am to 12:00pm
Kid’s Workshop: Windmill Planter
Build a model windmill that holds a beautiful seasonal flower or low maintenance herb just in time for Mother’s Day. Once your windmill planter is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.


Lakeshore Learning: 

May 5th, 11:00am-3:00pm
Kids’ Craft: Teacher Appreciation Flowers

Some locations have their crafts on Sundays.  Check your location.

**Kid’s Club Crafts now include two project options – one costs $2.00 per child ages 3-8 and the second is $5.00 per child ages 6+
