Need plans for the weekend?  Here are the free events for this weekend.

Also, be sure to check out your local library for fun things to do.  There is some great programming at our local libraries – and it’s almost always free.

American Girl Stores

Most American Girl Store events cost.  But there are a few that are free.  Events vary by store. You can check out upcoming events at a store near you here.

AMF Bowling Centers

Saturday, April 28th, 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Kids Fest: Kids ages 15 and under can enjoy 1 hour of free bowling, $1 hot dogs, and soft drink specials. There will also be discounts on 1 hour of bowling for adults.

Babies ‘R Us:

Upcoming event page on Babies ‘R Us has been taken down due to the impending closure of Toys ‘R Us stores. :( 

Clearance sales have started at Babies ‘R Us/Toys ‘R Us stores.

Barnes and Noble:

Saturday, April 28th @ 11:00am
Storytime: Scientist, Scientist, What Do You See?
Full of rhyming fun, Scientist, Scientist, Who Do You See? features appearances by some of the world’s greatest scientists. Young readers will enjoy learning about scientists and how they changed the world.

Disney Store:

Use the store locator to find your local store and contact them about upcoming in-store events.

JCPenney:

Saturday, April 28th, 11am – noon
Super Hero Event: Create a Marvel Avengers craft, get a free Marvel Avengers collectors’ pin and more. Plus, parents will receive a coupon for 10% off to be used in-store on the day of the event that can be used with other coupons. Event is scheduled at participating locations.

Lakeshore Learning: 

Saturday, April 28th, 11:00am-3:00pm
Kids’ Craft: Basket of Flowers

Some locations have their crafts on Sundays.  Check your location.

Michael’s:

Saturday, April 28th, 10:00am-12:00pm
