Good For You Fruit and Spinach Smoothie Recipe

Here’s a great way to pack a punch in your breakfast.  (Or lunch or afternoon snack – this smoothie is perfect for any time!)   It’s a fruit and spinach smoothie and you might be a little skeptical at the word “spinach” but if you like orange juice, I promise you’ll like this because that’s really all you taste.

It’s easy to customize or adjust based on what you have on hand also.   You can omit strawberries and put extra blueberries or vice-versa.  You can leave the berries out completely and use mango.   I like adding chia seeds if I have some on hand because they’re so good for you.  I love tossing things into the blender and seeing what comes out!

I have the Bella Personal Sized Rocket Blender and I love it!

Fruit and Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • One Banana
  • Six Strawberries (I cut of the tops and slice them up before putting them in the blender)
  • A handful or two of baby Spinach
  • A handful of blueberries
  • 8-10 oz of Orange Juice
  • optional – a pinch or two of chia or flaxseeds

*If you use all fresh (not frozen) ingredients you will have a more juice like drink and less like a smoothie. .  In the event that I have fresh spinach to use, I would opt for frozen strawberries.  If you have all fresh ingredients, adding a couple ice cubes will give you the frozen smoothie effect.  If you prefer it juicier – go with all fresh, no frozen ingredients.

Blend and voila!  Delicious, refreshing and healthy!
