FREE Weekend Activities – July 10-12, 2015

Wow, can you believe we’re halfway through Summer?  Here are some fun, free things for the kids to do this weekend (but don’t miss the FREE Sam’s Club Health Screenings for adults on Saturday too!)

Most American Girl Store events cost.  But there are a few that are free.  You can check out upcoming events at a store near you here.
This one is FREE and happening July 9th:  Discover Truly Me Event
Truly Me™ encourages girls to express, explore, and discover who they truly are—right now. Bring your girl to this exciting Truly Me event, where she can celebrate her unique self! She can express her interests and style with a fun bookmark activity, sign an inspirational poster, and explore the titles that top her summer reading list, too! All participants will receive a doll-sized Truly Me tee (while supplies last). Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

Barnes and Noble: Saturday, July 11th,  at 11:00 am
Join a free story time. Different locations offer different stories. Check the website or call to confirm before you go.
Storytime book: DC Comics Pop Up Story Time
Check out the Barnes & Noble near you for more storytime hours!  Different stores do more story times on different days of the week!
Don’t forget to fill out your Barnes & Noble summer reading log so you can pick up your FREE book while you’re there for storytime!

Books-a-million: Saturday, July 11th, 2:00pm
Summer Fun Camp: Minions
 Everyone’s favorite little yellow friends are back in action this summer!  Bring your friends to Books-a-Million and craft your own Minions goggles and play games!

***Passport to Imagination events are happening all summer.  They are $5 per session or $12 will get a pass for 3.

***Michael’s Kid’s Club Crafts cost $2 per child
Drop in for a 30 minutes craft – ages 3 and up.

 Williams-Sonoma: Saturday, July 11th, 10:00 am
FREE Junior Chef class!
Salt is an amazing way to bring out the flavors in everything you cook. We’ll teach you how to cook on a salt plate, from Chicken and Corn Quesadillas to Chocolate Chip Cookies! Then we’ll teach you how to use different flavored salts on your favorite foods, from popcorn to veggies skewers. Suitable for ages 8-13.
