Remembering on Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day, whatever you have been doing, I hope in the back of your mind, you are remembering why we get this extra day off work in May.

I come from a family of veterans.  My dad’s side boasts several Confederate war soldiers.  His father served in WWII.  My mother’s father served in WWII and Korea.  My mother also lost an uncle in WWII.  My dad served in Vietnam.  If you know a veteran, thank them today.  If you know someone who lost a family member in a war or currently has a family member serving, thank them today.

This country would not be free without those willing to fight for that freedom.

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”   John 15:13
