I had a wonderful time speaking to a fantastic group of mom’s in a local MOPS group yesterday morning. Here are some things that I didn’t get to cover or elaborate on. So here is a post just for them or anyone new to couponing!
My approach to coupon is a bit different that what you might see on Extreme Couponing. I prefer Practical Couponing.
I didn’t have time to talk about rebates, but they are a great way to save on your grocery bill! I also didn’t have time to talk about SavingStar which allows you to load ecoupons to your store loyalty card and rewards you with cashback when coupons are redeemed.
Don’t forget to print your $.50 off All You Magazine coupon to use when you buy it at Walmart this month. (follow the link and click “Books & Magazines on the left side to find it) You can get your subscription here for $1.66/issue which is a little better than newsstand price but they are always having specials, so if you wait a bit, you might find it at a better price.
I also didn’t get into all the many ways to save on things besides groceries, like saving money when eating out, finding free things to do with the kids, little tips to save on small things that add up, finding samples or completely FREE things and saving money online by shopping at Amazon or getting cashback with Ebates on your online purchases.
And speaking of Amazon, you can earn FREE money to spend at Amazon using sites like Swagbucks and Superpoints! (I earned over $130 last year from Swagbucks that I used to buy Christmas presents at Amazon with!)
And don’t forget to sign up for the baby clubs at Winn-Dixie and Publix. Plus, read up many ways to get coupons, samples and save on baby needs in my baby savings series. And sign up for FREE magazines (yes, completely FREE) that contain coupons!
