Wal-Mart ad match

I’ve decided to go a little easy on myself this weekend and not make my usual store rounds.  I have a fun day planned for me and my son today that includes a brief trip to Wal-Mart.

I used Couponing to Disney’s Wal-Mart Deals under $1 to make a list of things I could get for free or with overage (Pampers wipes, batteries) and a couple necessities that I could get for super cheap (band-aids, Rotel, soap).  I’m also going to ad match a few deals from Winn-Dixie and Food Giant.  I don’t feel like going to Winn-Dixie this week and there are only a few double coupon deals at Food Giant, that I’m pretty sure I can pass on going Monday.

Here is what I’m ad matching from Winn-Dixie:

Boneless New York Strip Steaks – $6.99/lb

Dozen Large Eggs – 99c

Wesson Oil 48 oz – $1.99
-$1 from one of the ConAgra coupon books

Fast Fixin’s chicken nuggets – $4.99
-$1/ any Fast Fixin’s printable (can print 2!)
-$1/ Fast Fixin’s chicken (March & May All You)

WD shredded cheese 6-8 oz – 3/$5

Kraft Macaroni Homestyle Deluxe – $1.99

Hunt’s Snack Pack Pudding – 10/$10
-$1/3 from ConAgra coupon book

Here is what I’m ad matching from Food Giant:

Van Camp’s Pork and Beans 15oz – 5/$2
 -$1/4 (May All You)

 Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce – $1.00
-$1 off (5/23 SS)(x6/30/10)

What is Wal-Mart’s ad matching policy?
Wal-mart will match any competitor’s current ad price on an identical item.  It’s the store’s decision to determine who is a competitor or not.  If they feel the store is not close enough to them to be a competitor, they have a right to deny the ad.  For example, the nearest Sav-A-Lot to me is a good 50 miles away.  My Wal-Mart would not accept a Sav-A-Lot ad.
You must have to actual, complete ad.  No photocopies or computer print outs.  And don’t tear out the one page your item is on.  If the sale dates aren’t on that page, they can deny your ad.
Ads for other store brand items can be match with Wal-Mart store brand items.  For example, if Winn-Dixie brand green beans were on sale for 50c, I could ad match the Wal-Mart Great Value brand and get them for 50c.
